About Us
Brian Zeft founded the Westside Law Firm, LLC in 2015 where he focuses and provides legal services in the practice area of bankruptcy. He opened Westside Law to be able to provide his clients more personal attention with their bankruptcy needs in a timely and efficient way.
Prior to starting the law firm, Brian Zeft was the managing attorney of one of the largest bankruptcy firms in Chicago. He was in charge of the all of the firm’s offices located in Illinois. Brian has personally been involved in thousands of bankruptcy cases while working at the firm.
Brian has argued twice in front of the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. In one important case, he was successful and the Courts of Appeals overturned a decade of case law in the Northern District of Illinois. As result, an auto lender must immediately return a reposed car to you after the filing of your bankruptcy. See Thompson vs. General Motor Acceptance Corp., 566 F.3d 699 (7th Cir.2009).
Brian attended the John Marshall Law School in Chicago where he graduated cum laude and was a member of the John Marshall Law Review. Prior to law school he worked for a Wall Street investment bank. Brian attained a B.S. in Business Administration in 2001 from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ.
He was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa before moving to Chicago.
